The Residential Training Workshop:

The Residential Training Workshop is a multi-level training event in transactional analysis that has been offered in New Zealand for over 20 years on a bi-annual basis. As part of this tradition, tuition is provided voluntarily by the trainers to keep costs as low as possible.

In 2017, the six-night residential workshop offers training for trainees and practitioners at all levels, including Certified Transactional Analysts (CTAs), and provisional trainers and supervisors (PTSTAs), organized in a four-track structure.

1. 1. The first track will be available to people enrolled in a CTA training course. Participants will work in small groups facilitated by a PTSTA with a TSTA present.
2. 2. The second track will focus on exam preparation for both written and oral CTA examinations. Participants in this group will normally have completed three years of training and be actively working towards the CTA qualification.
3. 3. The third track will be open to CTAs or TA practitioners who have completed a minimum of five years training, and will focus on advanced professional development. Supervision and teaching will be provided by TSTAs only.
4. 4. The fourth track provides for PTSTAs. Participants will be expected to practice teaching and supervision skills by leading the CTA training groups, with live supervision from TSTAs.

Workshop Schedule:

The residential training workshop will start on Saturday 11 November at 12 noon, with lunch and will finish on Friday 17 November at 12 noon, no lunch.

Each day, there will be time spent together in a large process group, to build community through heightened awareness and dialogue, to think together, and for everyone to gain a deeper knowing of themselves and of others. Teresa von Sommaruga Howard will be conducting the large groups.

The training is primarily aimed at training psychotherapists. However, trainees from all four fields are welcome. There will be opportunities for practice exams at both the CTA and TSTA levels. In addition, there will be space for teaching presentations from PTSTAs and TSTAs, with panel discussions.

Registration Fee & Accommodation:

Fees, including training, accommodation and meals for the week, will range from $1110 to $2080 depending on the type of accommodation chosen. Full details are listed on the registration form.

Early bird registration until 15th August 2017. $300 deposit at time of registration will hold room choice until 15th September 2017, at which time the balance must be paid.

Registrations after 15th August 2017 are only accepted with full payment.
